Parting is such sweet sorrow

Warning
This a total journal type post.

Today was my first day in YW.
I knew last week I would have a hard time this week when the primary kids sang in church.

The first time I was called to serve in primary, I was screaming inside "Are you serious? Me in primary? There is no way I am going to do this?"
Of course what came out of my mouth was "Yes, I would love to."

The following Sunday the Primary sang. Within seconds the spirit testified to me that this was where I was supposed to be.
Today I was so glad I had moved to a different pew away from Jay ,(so Rig could have a better view of his Bro and Sis and yell hi to them). so Jay didn't see me crying for the few seconds I let me guard down. Totally hate crying- well at least in front of people.
Sometimes you just need to let it out :)

I really don't understand why people don't like serving in primary. It IS a lot of work-but everything is when you try to do your best. But it is also soooo rewarding. ( Jay always says I go over and beyond what I should, but if you know me- that is just who I am. If I happened to not- it wasn't because I didn't want to - I most likely was going over the top with something else and ran out of time, this does hapen on occasion with me)
I am really really going to miss the laughter, the singing, the hugs, the silly sunbeams (we have the cutest sunbeam and they are very entertaining) the honesty

(like "Sis Both I'm bored," "Why do you always where Big earrings?, "" We had 2 pets they both died. One died because we didn't feed him (pretty sure that was a bird not a fish) " Talking about word of wisdom and how we don't drink alcohol- One of the kids pipes in shaking his head disapprovingly "Yeah my Dad ALWAYS is drinking Dr Pepper" I could make a huge list here that would take forever and I know that when I hear what Brayden says in class I am mordified so we'll just leave it at that- I literally laughed out loud every Sunday from the comments they would say)

the special drawings for me, the excitement, wanting to be held, the silliness, the eagerness (even if it was to be done with class), the thank you at the end of the day .

Oh and then my girls I AM majorly going to miss you-- During the Sacrament program today some of the girls said things about their fathers- I almost lost it. I am so going to miss them. It is so crazy to me how little time it takes to love-- One of the hardest things about leaving Provo was leaving my Activity Day girls- They had become my "other" children and I literally would have done anything for them. Saying good-bye was too much for me.
How grateful I am to have been able to serve these sweet girls. I am going to miss their kindness, the weekly hugs on Sunday and the million questions about what we are going to do next, watching them grow spiritually, their willingness to obey and help eachother.

I know my time is done here- at least for now.

One of my favorite scriptures is 3 Nephi 17.

As a child when taught this story we imagine what it must have been like to be there with all the children. To have Jesus bless all the children one by one. Then Jesus says "Behold your little ones"
Then have the heavens open and angels come down and encircle the children.
I have always loved that story

As an adult -- I understand the meaning of the these words. Behold your little ones-- Observe or see your remarkable little ones
Remarkable enough that Jesus wept and Angels came down and surrounded all the children and attended to them.

Being teacher or parent to these remarkable children, really is an amazing thing. When you are surrounded by these sweet spirits it is undeniable how truly close they are to Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. That they really are remarkable.
It is this I will miss!

Since I mentioned it I am going to leave these last verses in 3 Nephi 17 for you to read

21... and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them.
22 And when he had done this he wept again;
23 And he spake unto the multitude, and said unto them: Behold your little ones.
24 And as they looked to behold they cast their eyes towards heaven, and they saw the heavens open, and they saw angels descending out of heaven as it were in the midst of fire; and they came down and encircled those little ones about, and they were encircled about with fire; and the angels did minister unto them.

Cambryn's Ballet Gala

Cambryn dance Gala is doing Cinderella for the Ballet part. She is a Bluebird and a shop keeper. I haven't taken any pics yet of her in her shop keeper costume. I'll do that tonight. She did an excellent Job last night. We are so proud of her!

Here is Cambryn with one of her teacher's, Miss Traci.

I don't have the best camera in the world so I'm lucky that other people do and share their pics with me.

Thank you!

Brayden's last Day of School

The Kindergartner's had a Pinata party

Here is Brayden's Kindergarten Class. I can't believe he is a first grader now!

Roar Scary Monster

I LOVE it when my kids rediscover old toys. They found the bag of Cranium Masks a few weeks ago and haven't sopped playing with them. Berto keeps walking around saying "Roar. I funny Mommy."

If you haven't noticed my baby is totally living WT style. I never thought I'd be that mom that lets her kid run around in just a diaper all day. I even remember a time when Jay would come home from someone's house he had just visited and say

"Yeah there house was really bad. Yada yada and there baby wasn't wearing any clothes. He/She was just in a diaper."

Hmmm lets see My baby plays outside half the day, in the dirt, with the chalk, with the dogs, Won't wear a bib at all, no matter how many times I put it back on, and isn't the cleanest eater, He's 2 what do you expect?

Yes I could Oxi-Clean (new favorite cleaner, Thanks Jessica, wish I knew of it's awesomeness earlier. But you have to get the laundry one. It is already mixed. But you can use it on everything else too. It is a multi purpose cleaner. Carpet, furniture, counters- just about everything--Love it!), but let's just face it I don't have endless hours to pre treat every outfit he puts on. I don't like him going out to messy- That's just ghetto! :)

So instead we keep the clothes clean- Get the baby neked! When we go out I put the baby in the sink wash the face, hands and legs/feet. Then put the clean clothes back on.
Then when we come home. Clothes back off!
I'm So Smart!

What do you do in the summer time?

When you don't have a pool you find other ways to get soaking wet!

Here is where it all started. We had friends over for dinner and to play. I'm not exactly sure how washing the dishes turned in to washing the toys, but it did. We ended up with LOTS of clean toys that night.

Rigi has decided that it is his new favorite past time. Whenever I do anything at the sink, including wash my hands, he drags a chair over and says "help Mommy help."

How do I resist that face?

Crafting it Up!

Long time..... ☺ Oh I HAVE missed you blog. Just so you don’t think I sit around all day doing nothing (unless of course your definition of nothing is-
A person who chases a crazy, busy, talkative, sweet 2 yr old, goes to the gym, does way to much homework for someone not in school, has relearned reading and math, cleans the same things over and over again at least 10x a day it seams,
(dirty is so much easier.....RIGHT?), learned ballet and the violin, again, Is a pro at Zack and Wiki (that might actually count as nothing ☺) chases Rigi- it is worth saying twice, drives the kids around, etc you’ve heard it all before) then yes I am doing nothing. And loving it! I love being busy with my kids. I just wish I had more hours in the day to do more crafting.

So I am showing off for a few and I must give credit where credit is do. I am a crafty copier- crafters beware, if it is cute I am so copying it.

Aubree was really sweet and shared her Birthday with Cambryn. I made Aubree her cute Birthday hat and embellished her tee with some fabric and bling. A Girls gotta have some bling! I have more pics....

Fun Baby Cake

I Basically want to copy everything this lady does. I want to Live Life Patino Style. We could so be glitter buddies. She is over the top which I LOVE. In another post I’ll be showing lot’s of fun things that I’m making or have made thanks to Miss Patino. I was inspired to make a cute St. Patties day shirt for Cambryn.

Lot's of these

and this.

I made these end of the year thank you's for the kids teachers. Love the wrapped sterling on the peach beads.

Party anyone?

Who doesn’t love to receive presents. For me I think I have more fun making presents then receiving them. . . most of the time :)☺. When my friend, mother of 5 boys, found out she was actually having a girl. I think all of her friends 1- started praying that this baby would make it here okay 2- hmm what are we going to get this baby--- everything. I think we all wanted to spoil this baby and mom. I have no words to describe what an amazing mom and person she is. I asked her what she wanted of course she said whatever, just as long as it was hand made. Theme red so I went with it Here is what I made her.

I just went to her house the other day to make more bracelets and binkie clips. She decided she needed more bracelets to match all the outfits-- :)

This tu tu onsie was so cute I almost had to keep it. I ruffled 3" strips of tulle and sewed them on the onsie then put swarovski crystals on for a crown. Perfet for the little princess.

Ian's crib bedding you can see his cute room here
I can't wait to see it in person.

For Caden. Miss you!

I made a nursing cover tutorial if anyone wants it. It is really easy. Lining is the trick!

We got to go visit the newest Both in January. What a little sweety. He will be so big next time we see him. Cambryn and Brayden loved holding him. Sometimes they actually fought over how would be able to hold him. Brayden was really sweet and would hold him forever.

I was so excited to make him some cute things and his big sister too. I saw this on a web site and I had to make one. I had been itching to use my grommit setter.
Way better cover then what I had for Cambryn and Brayden
.

Isn't he the perfect model.

Cambryn with Baby Noah. So sweet.

We made these for Activity Days. I had the girls write a letter to themselves with a goal for this year and then put it in the box.
I got these wooden boxes from the dollar store. Rounded up some cute scrapbook paper. Made a pattern unhinged the boxes and let the girls have at it. We Mod Podged the paper then sanded the edges, then mod podged again and put their cricut cut names on with Mod Podge. Then another layer of Mod Podge. Fianally Hot Glue cute layered flower on Top. Oh and put the hinges back on.

This was before they had all put their names on. They turned out Super Cute!

Cambryn rockin' the leotard I made her. I love the ruffles around the neck. I would love a bathing suit with halter straps like that.

I found this all over the blog-net at Halloween time. Kiki and I made the actual BOO ones and then had this fantabulous idea to make one for every Holiday. What a great idea. Well a couple of months went by, Kiki made her Valentines one sooo cute (I'm not sayng her other ones weren't cute). I had to copy. Love Pink, Love glitter. I got stumped on Spring--- anyone have a 3 letter or 4 letter word to describe spring, besides EGG. Thanks Chris
You can see the details to make one of these

Here

One of my favorite Blogs around is Just a Girl. She has some of the best ideas. She truly sees the lemonade out of that lemon. I have copied a few of her things and been inspired by other things she's done. So worth checking out!

If you haven't guessed yet I love Mod Podge. It is basically a staple for crafting. Seriously I use it for everything. It is an essential tool. Guys have duck tape, I have Mod Podge!

These are so old but worth sharing. We made these at our Super Saturday. Such a cute easy idea. Take a book ( this is actually one of the blue Book of Mormons) cover with cute paper and some mod podge- love the stuff if you couldn't tell- a couple of times.
Put a cute ribbon around it secured with a brad on the front and back with a flower embellishment. Ta Da
