I am so far behing in my catching up. Maybe by the end of this month I might actually have pics up of Christmas :)
Cambryn asked Hillary a question the other day about the Nutcracker and Hillary responded that she was STILL waiting for me to post pics.
So to all of you who have been waiting in suspense .... here are some pics of my little ballerina.
Cambryn Stretching
Okay maybe not some-
Here will be a major picture overload for some of you.
Cambryn was able to perform this year in our Bakersfield Nutcracker. Words can not express what an amazing blessing and opportunity it is to dance with Civic. Last year Rig was still little so I didn't really spend much time back stage. This year I spent as much time as I could.
Mostly for Cambryn but partly because it was just fun..... shhhh don't tell anyone

The older kids have so much respect for eachother and are so willing to help the younger kids.
They really are great role models for the younger children.
In Bakersfield we are really lucky to be able to perform with a live Symphany Orchestra. The teachers constantly reming the children how special that is and to make sure to thank the orchestra. Even now Cambryn just told me how lucky they were :)
Cambryn had the role as a ginger. She was really excited usually- ususally the older girls get the ginger roles. For those of you how don't know the nutcracker, when I explain this to you it is going to sound creepy, basically in the Mother Ginger Scene ginger's and bon bons come out from under Mother Ginger's skirt. Yes Mother Ginger ia a Man. I actually had to research this out of my own curiousity. It was first performed in 1892. At that time women were not allowed to perform. Why Mother Ginger continues to be played by a man dress like drag queen..... well let's just say he is a good sport.
Here is Cambryn during one of her practices. She didn't want me to post this because she is embarassed for messing up. Good grief she is a perfectionist (where she gets it I have no idea). When I get the actual video of the performance I will post it. Then you can see the whole thing- the kids did such a good job and it is pretty funny too.
Marvin (our Mother Ginger) had ripped a big whole in his bloomer's crotch. I was helping backsatge so I offered to fix them for him. I seriously couldn't even look him in the eye while I talked to him.
Those huge glitter lashes, blue eye shadow, and red lips were just too much for me.
Here is Mother Ginger with Cambryn. How eleven children fit under that skirt? I still have not figured out. Watching them all pile under was hillarious.
Cambryn and Chandler (Clara) she is the assistant in one of Cambryn's classes

Cambryn can hardly wait for her next performance in June. It is all she talks about! This girl loves to dance-- I take that back she loves getting dressed up, wearring make-up and being the center of attention.
