Prom---

Kattie Jo, Me, Liz Jr Prom Spring 95
3 of my BFF's
Notice Liz's Jessica Mcclintock dress

On so many levels and for so many reasons I am embarrassed. Since Amy
asked us ( or challenged us, I am not quite sure ) to blog our prom pics here we go. Just to make myself feel a little bit better you have to go check out Amy's blog (hehe) she has some killer 90's photo's of herself.

Because I would like to think that I am a better person then I was in High School and so much of a cool person (no comments or laughter please) I really regret my attitude about prom. Which really needs no explaination. I think my face and the pictures do all the explaining. My poor date, whatever my reasons--- I think that night I used the excuse that I was feeling sick to get to go home early :) I know ----- Maybe that is why my normal 10pm curfey was extended a couple of hours my parents knew they had nothing to worry about. I was scared to death by boys! But my sis made up for that. Love ya kiki

Oh the torture the pain! I mean now looking back at how ridiculous I look!

Moving on to Senior Prom Spring '96

Okay so I had this dress in mind that I wanted to make. After turning down the first person that asked me to prom I thought I wouldn't get asked. But I did. I had wanted to make my dress a tank top. But the boy who asked me's mom was my formed YW pres and I KNEW she would so not approve. Since I was a major kiss butt and worried way to much about what people thought I added sleeves, ya know for the pic and all. Don't worry I made up for it in the back.

I loved this dress. I kinda had a thing for gloves if you couldn't tell. We even made a black one for my sis when she was in High School. Hers did not have sleeves. But had a higher back-- she thought mine was too hoochie or something. But then whn she got married we used scraps added cap sleeves and she could still wear it. So maybe "modest is actually the hotest"!

So many stories about this night. . . way to long-- Short synopsis--- kidnapping, Park City, 18th B-day, Midnight Party, First Kiss, bets, dancing, Getting pulled over by a cop and getting a lecture about the 12th article of faith, "obeying honoring and sustaining the law", figuring out after, that the cop (add bow tie and glasses) was really one of our seminary teachers after the fact. Oh and so much more. Utah Mormon dates are an all day major extravaganza and a lot of fun!

Okay all of you I dare you post your prom pics--

Hee, hee! This is all too funny! Everything and everyone looks familiar. So, I'm dying to know who the first guy to ask you out to Sr. Prom was! You can just email that little bit of juicy deliciousness to me directly. Umm...don't make fun of Jessica McClintock. My dress for Jr. Prom was one too.

Just for the record I think I had the same Jessica McClintock dress your friend had. That is so scary. What was I thinking....I wore mine to winter formal.

Funny how I am still waiting for a comment from you on my blog. I know you do read other blogs and leave comments. Maybe I'm just not compelling enough for you. Who knows? I would post prom pictures but I officially was never asked out in high school, not once. However, your pictures are priceless! I love your dress and am very impressed that you had such a great sewing tallent even in high school. I love the story about being pulled over... :) That's one to tell to the kids!

Cindi, I'm glad I checked your blog tonight because the prom pics were such a fun blast from the past! I totally remember those dresses and the stories. I have no idea where any of my prom pictures ended up (we just recently moved) so maybe some day I'll most mine when I find them.

I love finding new blogs! Your family really is so darling and you are so gorgeous in your new facebook pic. Anyway, I loved looking at these! Maybe because I have actually exterminated all of my Jr. Prom pics... yes, they were that bad. Fun seeing all about you!
