Stars, Stripes and NO FIREWORKS

You know one of my favorite people in the whole world is my cousin Hillary. She is one of my best friends and I am so glad that we get to live somewhat close to her family. I love that our kids love each other too! Oh and our hubbies get along. Which is ALWAYS a good thing :)

I am so glad that I am able to be close to family here in CA. We went down to Hillary and Todd's for the forth and a couple extra days too. I tried to weasle more days out of Jay but he insisted that he had to work. Bummer :) My grandma, Grams was down for the week to attend a funeral of a good friend. So it was good to spend time with her too. ( I can't wait to see more of her next month. ) And of course my Aunt Denise and Uncle Rocky, They are amazing too. Seriously the best aunt and uncle. I am sure people wish they were related to them.
They invited us all to go to their good friends Hawley and Cindy Wilson's to swim and
Bar-B-Que. We had a great time and I know the kids absolutely loved that they got to swim for 6 hrs straight. Cambryn only got out once to go potty and once to eat. Of course when we got back to the Crump's at 9pm she was starving. . .

Yes I am a back seat Mommy. I always start in the front, but end up in the back after the first hr. This was my attempt to entertain an over tired bottle jonsing baby! He eventually fell asleep.

Aubree is just about the cutest thing ever. She talks a ton and is super opinionated. Especially about what she wears. I love it! She reminds me a lot of Cambryn. She was very helpful with Baby Berto. (Rigdon if you couldn't figure that one out. Jay has nicknamed Rigdon -Rigaberto I am not sure how a nickname ended up longer then his real name. So his niackname has a nickname. He totally responds to Rigdon, Rigaberto and Berto. Poor kid)

How the kids slept every night In Trevor's bed.

As good as it gets. . . The kids were to excited to go swim. They were not going to let us take a picture. Trevor, Brayden, Cambryn and Aubree ( Rig wanted nothing to do with it)

I have three Fish. . . None of my children have loved the water like Rig this early. Cambryn loved the water as a baby. Brayden it took a couple of years, now I can't get him out. But Rigdon. Goodness. I thought Cambryn was bad when she would fall in the water come up just about blue and start laughing.

Rigdon does that and then some. He has no fear. Rigdon gets out of the infant floaties. I have
bought 2 different kinds and he wiggles around until he is out and free in the water. He absolutely loves swimming.

The best way to take a picture in a bathing suit.

Some counties in CA banned fireworks including the one we were celbrating the 4th in. My kids were really sad about it. We had told the kids that they could do sparklers and poppers. Then when Jay and Todd went to go buy them sparklers were banned too. So poppers it was. So our kids got to blow bubbles and throw poppers. Even today in Bak. we drove past a fireworks stand and the kids wanted to know if we could by some today. Unfortunatley it isn't the 4th any more and they are all closed.

After that the boys decided to roll down a grassy hill half naked a million times. After that Brayden kept asking for band aids to put on his scratches that were flaming red. Then he started crying. Trevor was flaming red and itchy too. So into the bath the itchy red boys went.

We didn't leave the Wilson's until 8 something. We decided that the kids were super tired and it would be good to just go home rather then go and watch fireworks. While we getting all unloaded from the car. Hillary saw the fireworks from the house. Trevor ran in and got us and we all watched the fireworks from Todd's truck. Well everyone but Brayden. Trevor kept yelling his name but he was sound asleep. When Brayden found out the next day he missed the fire works he was so sad. He wanted to know why we didn't wake him. So now he is convinced that next year he is the only one who get to watch fireworks .

It was a great 4th!

Just for the record: I think you are super cool too and am so lucky to have such a cool talented to cousin to show me how to do a tenth of what you can do. We need to do this more often. It so nice that the kids play so well together. I am up for any easy entertainment like that for the kids. Like that I was trying not to have a braces smile in that photo:) Thanks for a fun weekend. Hope to see you in Carlsbad for the next adventure.
