Confessions

I have to admit I am somewhat embarrassed to post this. . . I know I am totally going to take some heat for this one  but with trekkies as parents, what can you expect.  My dad's favorite channel is the sci- fi channel.  No lie.  So Charles, Chira and I were totally raised watching the supernatural.  So naturally when  The X-Files series started in 1993 it was a show we all watched together.  I didn't watch it every week.  But I think I have seen absolutely every episode there was.

When Jay and I started dating he had never seen more then 2 or 3 episodes.  He admits he thought it was kinda dumb.  But he got sucked it.  We would go up to my grandma's house and watch The X-files with my cousin Hillary and Todd (her boyfriend at the time) just about every week.  I remember watching The X-files marathons on Thanksgiving with Hillary trying to keep my eyes open during the scariest one that played at midnight.  (It still gives my the heebie jeebies-- )  Then I would go to bed freaked.  But of course I would do it again the next year.  In case you wanted to know what episode that was it was called Home from season 4  (no I did not have that memorized,  I am not that dorky).

Then when Jay and I got married we would come home from work and watch the reruns that played every night  because by then he totally liked the show.

Any way I am super excited for the X-Files movie this weekend.  It is a show that I started watching 15 years ago-- and watched faithfully and have  seen all the episodes ( kind-of  like 90210-- I might be a little excited for the new 90210). So naturally I HAVE to see this movie.

Even though I am not that into sci-fi,  except for Stephanie Meyer's books (there are only 14 days until Breaking Dawn comes out),  and Star Wars ( Brayden would dis- own me if I didn't like it--well I like it too) and I am sure there are some others,  back to what I was saying -I am So Excited for this movie.  I already told Jay we have to get a babysitter  so we can go this weekend.

I can't promise that we will be dressed up like Moulder and Sculley waiting outside the theatre for hours to see it At Midnight on Thursday  but we will so be there this weekend. (Any one go to the movies this past Thursday at night?    There were so many people dressed like the Joker and Batman waiting in line to see  Batman @ midnight-- uhm the Jokers were a little scary)

Hopefully The X- Files: I want to believe will be a good one.  Fingers Crossed

Whatever, I am so excited to see it too. I told Todd we got watch the last movies first to refresh our memories of how it ended before we go see the new one. It was funny cause while we were in LA this week I saw a big bilboard with the X files advertisement on it and I said Todd look at that billboard it is so old. He was like, "Um They are coming out with a new one." I had no idea. I am too so excited. I remember all our late night marathons at Grams house. Too bad we can't go see it together.

My most memorable episode is "Mother"! What a crazy fun show to watch! Let me know how the movie is since I won't be going to the movies for a while!

Nothing to be embarrassed about I to watched the X-Files. Loved it. I stopped watching it when they moved it to sunday nights instead of Friday night. Just didn't seem right to have a scary show on sunday. I am excited for the movie as well. And we could go watch it together..but well..I don't live there anymore!

I love the X-Files too. I'm not a sci-fi person at all, but David Duchovny definitely helped me out. The freakiest one ever is the HOME episode. I could barely watch it. Ty and I used to watch re-runs of these when we were first married. Good times.

Yeah, I'm planning a date night for this too!
