The latest addition to the Both household is Mini. Short for Mini Buttercup. We adopted her from our good friends the Bullocks. I meant to do this a while ago, but I have been a slacker and super busy. Leigh thought when I posted "My new Baby" post on my craft blog that it was going to be Mini---Yes Leigh we do love Mini and haven't already forgotten her. She seriously has got to be the pest pet for kids!!!!!
Okay growing up we had a guinea pig, it was my brother's. The main things I remember about Guiney Tip Toes was that she had a leash, we put her in my brothers toy train, she would run away in the backyard and she had the worst stinky banana poops around!!!
Mini totally does not stink at all. I am sure that is because Leigh totally spoiled Mini and she gets to run around in guinea pig animal bedding instead of a metal wire cage that we had growing up.
Our biggest problem so far is that Rigdon and Molly will not leave her alone. Mini started out in Cambryn's room. But every time the door got left open to the room Rigdon and Molly would end up in there. I would hear Molly barking and Rigdon would be in there shaking the cage.
( side note I have decided there is not much difference between Molly and a 1 yr old--but that will have to be a separate post :) )
So Mini is now in the laundry room. When we first moved her there Rigdon and Molly would sit in the laundry basket under the shelf she is on trying to get to here. They have since given up -- unless they hear her squeaking. Mini gets lots of Alfalfa and carrots everyday. Cambryn can go get Mini out of the cage all by herself. She takes her plays with Mini and takes her outside to play and when she is done she puts her away all by herself too. I usually have to tell Cambryn she can't get Mini out right now. She has to wait until she is done with her school work. But if we are busy and she doesn't get to come out and play, she is happy with apetting and a carrot.
Once a week I dump all the bedding out spray it out with soap and water, let it dry and she is good for another week----So easy!! I love it.
We love Mini and are glad she is in our Zoo---I mean home.
Is this easier to read bigger? Let me know

holy cow! You are totally a pet family. My kids will be lucky when/if we get another pet any time soon. They are work and I always get stuck doing it!
Hey stranger! Our girls will have to come over sometime and see little "mini." And yes! I like the bigger font much better. It must be my age...
I'm askeered of pets in my house because of the possible smell. You are an awesome mom! And where were you this morning by the way?
I like my turtle. Eats lettuce and apples, it must poop and pee, but I don't see it. Doesn't make any noise, doesn't smell, sleeps ALL winter and the kids love it! THAT is the best pet. You are amazing, I guess my kids will figure that they are missing out someday. But, for now, it's all good. ;)
Hey Cindy,
I had the same pet when I was a kid. We're going to the park tomorrow. 10am. hope to see you there. Amy
Srsly, we know ALL the same people. Hilarious.
that is one HUGE guinea pig!! it's as big as a cat!
ok this post makes me so HAPPY!! mini has been so neglected since we moved and i have been in my last trimester and it has been winter. i know she is loving all the attention and being outside in the grass! you guys are awesome!
I can't let Trevor get any ideas. He wants a pet so badly. I don't want to clean up after anyone or anything else at this point in my life. I know...how selfish.
awww guinea tip toes....do we have any pics of her? lol. maybe we can up-grade to a guinea pig one day---maybe not if I consider Max for a moment! :D She's so cute..Caden will love her!
I can't believe your kids have the same color hair as my kids... u really r my long lost sister :)
